Spinheads

£9.99£37.99

A selection of spinheads, in a variety of attractive colours and in varying sizes, for use on either a salmon fly rod or light spinning rod, supplied in a plastic box (6 or 12) or plastic bag (pack of 3). Colours in each pack may vary. The Spinhead was developed and made by Grays of Kilsyth for use on a salmon fly rod when river conditions would normally dictate the use of the spinning rod. The Spinhead can be threaded on the line and attached to the front of a salmon fly creating a kind of fly spoon, more visible in coloured or high water.

Description

The Spinhead is an entirely new fishing lure, a kind of fly spoon, designed and developed in Scotland by Grays of Kilsyth primarily for the salmon fly fisherman who prefers the fly rod to the spinning rod in times of high or coloured water. The Spinhead, which can be attached to your fly or used in place of your fly, is, like a flyspoon, light enough (only 1 gram) and small enough to be cast, with care, on a salmon fly rod, when river conditions might otherwise warrant the use of the spinner. The Spinhead can also be used on a light spinning or baitcasting rod as a fishing lure for predatory species such as brown trout, rainbow trout, steelhead, sea trout, perch, pike and bass.
